Shame?It should never have made it past the pilot, so much of what is contained in that show is revisionist bullshit. The premise of the show itself is about a Non-eXistent ship canonically so nothing is valid in that show.Paramount slapped Star Trek on its title years later because their attempts to woo the non-trekkie crowd failed and they needed to to try and win back the trek fans that the show had alienated.

If you are referring to the NX-01, that show is not Star Trek and so anything it contains is revisionist non-canon bullshit.The enterprise 1701 was built in san fransisco as stated on its plaque, that gives two options, build on earth in san fransisco, or in space in geo-synchronous orbit above san fransisco.

Well, Gene's Utopia was going by wars happening in the late 20th century caused by genetics, too, and World War III in 21st century... he kinda thought it to be possible going by when he wrote the concept, I suppose. xD; Oh well.

Not a trekky but I like Star Trek. This re-imagining is absolutely amazing and fresh. Trek needs to be more realistic. There is no way Gene's utopia could exist. Its like Star Wars, only in THIS galaxy.

For 31 seconds, I thought it was Robocop VII...F'ing up "Trek" with a lamentable retcon featuring muppet babies, ipod-inspired sets, bif space battles with a ridiculous amount of spaceships, a diseased space more worthy of 'Firefly'... no thanks. I'd rather marry Lorena Bobbitt.

Espectacular !!! muy buena produccion , los amantes de esta serie deberiamos estar alegres y sattisfechos con esta pelicula de Star Trek. y dejar de criticar si tiene o no elementos de la versiona anterior, recuerden que aquellas series donde actuaba William Shatner , fueron otras epocas y otros estilos, hay que adaptarse a los tiempos que corren- yo por mi parte estoy muy satisfecho y alegre esperando poder verla en los cines locales. saludos a toda la comunidad de fans De "star Trek"
