The RV lifestyle is very much an outdoor activity (or inactivity as the mood takes you) lifestyle. Consequently there are many suppliers vying to provide you with an RV accessory, some of which they already supply for the backyard (and which you may already own). These include gas or charcoal grills with their own accessories, tables, chairs, floor mats, lighting etc. Many an RV accessory to be had in this general "camping" category. Other items include a canopy, walls to attach, a ladder to reach the roof, possibly permanently attached. And while on the roof, what about a set of solar panels, and an air conditioner, or an automatic satellite dish? The RV accessory list for inside might include 12v electrical items like a coffee machine or a hair dryer - you decide if they are "essential". Others - all available as a 12v RV accessory version - could be TV systems, DVD, VCR, and CD players, CB radios, GPS navigation systems, a satellite system for TV, internet, and communication. Some overlap is found with the marine supplies market, many a radio, home theater, navigation system etc. developed for rugged marine use can slot straight in as an RV accessory, or essential safety component, sometimes a minor alteration is required, but the manufacturer has done all the hard development work already, resulting in a better price when modifying it to be an RV accessory. Larger scale items, which are still considered an RV accessory include water heaters, pumps, washers and dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves and ranges etc. An RV accessory to run these items? A generator, inverter, more batteries and controls. This is, of course, as well as all the normal vehicle accessories, such as wheels, jacks, hitches. These, as well as specialized items, all become another RV accessory. In fact virtually anything you have at home can be had as an RV accessory.
